The Cottage is a deceptively spacious, terraced holiday home in the village of Newcastleton, also known as Copshaw Holm, around half an hour’s drive from the M6/M74 at Carlisle. There is generous living space with a good-sized kitchen opening onto the dining room with a sofa and TV, and a welcoming living room. Within a 5-minute walk are two hotels serving food, two cafés and local food shops including a butcher. Almost next door is the Liddesdale Heritage Museum where tales of the Border reivers and the Debatable Lands are interpreted. A traditional music festival is held in early July each year when this friendly village welcomes folk from around the world.
